Zero Entry

Jess and I took Anika to Lifetime Fitness in Coon Rapids today to swim in the zero entry pool.

We've been swimming a bunch of times but this was the most fun we've ever had.

The water was so warm - almost like a hot tub.  We sat in the shallows and Anika love, love, loved it!  She splashed around in the water while sitting, laying on her belly, and scooting along the "shoreline".  She was really daring and kept heading out into deeper water.  We had to rescue her several times.  She used both Auntie Jess and me as her jungle gyms and crawled over us, under us, and tried to go around us.  She even flopped off Jess's legs into the water.

Anika even knows how to jump into the pool.  She sits nicely on the pool edge, flaps her arms like a bird, and eventually shifts her weight forward enough to plop into the water.  She's so funny - she tips her head up and closes her eyes because she knows she'll get splashed in the face with water.

I couldn't resist taking her down the water slide.  It's not a very big slide but it's not a small slide, either.  She really seemed to enjoy it.  It just proves that she is her mother's daughter, after all - what child of mine wouldn't like a good water slide?!

I can't WAIT to take her to Wisconsin Dells!  Noah's Ark, here we come!!!
